UTI firma convenio con la National Academy of Sciences (USA)

La Universidad Tecnológica Indoamérica firma convenio con la National Academy of Sciences (USA) para el desarrollo de un proyecto que busca el uso sustentable del agua y la preservación de la biodiversidad en escenarios de cambio climático en la cuenca del Napo. Este proyecto implica la colaboración estrecha de la UTI con la USFQ y Colorado State University por un periodo de tres años.

The good news: Rediscovery of rare frog species in Ecuador; the bad news: it’s close to an oil pipeline

Reserva Las Gralarias. After three months of monitoring, a team from SOS project partner Universidad Tecnológica de Indoamérica (UTI) identified a new population in another stream and later confirmed that the species is reproducing in this area. Information that the team is collecting will help understand the population dynamics of the species, its potential threats and help guide action to conserve it.
